Covid-19 Countermeasures at Inwashiro Ski Resort
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) has revised the concept of wearing masks as a measure against new coronavirus infection, and the wearing of masks is now based on individual judgment, respecting the choice of the individual.
At Inawashiro Ski Resort, we are taking thorough measures against the spread of Covid-19 in order for our guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
Snow sports are enjoyed outdoors among nature on the snowy mountainside, so it's easy to avoid the 3 C's (closed spaces, crowded places, and close contact).
However, we at Inawashiro Ski Resort believe avoiding the 3 C's is of the highest priority, so we have put policies in place at all of our facilities. We have increased the number of available ticket windows, limited the number of people who can ride lifts, reduced the number of seats available at our restaurants, and ask all guests to maintain social distancing in order to avoid crowding.
We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all guests with temperature readers at entrances, mask policies, etc. in order to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 and allow for peace of mind for all of our guests. Thank you for your continued support.
Requests from Visitors
- Please use your own judgment to prevent infection by washing your hands, gargling, disinfecting, and wearing a mask.
- Whether inside or outside, please maintain proper social distance in areas that may become crowded easily.
- Please use hand sanitizer, wash your hands, and gargle frequently. If you are close to other guests, please wear a mask.
- Please refrain from visiting if you have a fever above 37.5C, or are experiencing cold-like symptoms.
- Please maintain distance from other guests when waiting in line at reception or at lifts.
- Please refrain from having conversations while waiting in line or riding the lifts.
- Ski resort staff will determine how many people may board the lifts. We ask for your cooperation and understanding.
Please wash your hands, gargle, and use hand sanitizer frequently.
Please cooperate with temperature taking procedures. If you have a fever of 37.5C or higher, please refrain from using our facilities.
Please maintain social distance.
Whether outside or indoors, please refrain from having conversations with a loud voice.
Please follow on the limits in place when riding lifts.
Please avoid entering overcrowded facilities, and be aware of how long you spend inside when using them.

Facilities
- Intelligent temperature readers are placed in all facilties, and screen guests temeperatures in seconds.
- A Sanitization Gate is installed in some locations to combat viruses carried in on clothing and other belongings.
- Hand sanitizer dispensers are placed at all entrances and exits.
- Ventilation is carried out by opening windows, doors, etc.
- Instructions will be given when necessary to maintain distance between guests.

Restaurants & Shops
- Entrance to restaurants and shops may be limited due to crowding.
- Seats and tables are arranged with sufficient space between them, and groups are asked to maintain this space.
- Hand sanitizer is placed at all entrances and exits of restaurants and shops.
- Sanitization of tables, chairs, menus, and other things touched by guests are sanitized regularly.
Staff
- All staff are required to take their temperature when clocking in. Any staff who have a fever or feel unwell are not allowed to work.
- Guidance regarding emperature checks and countermeasures is provided at all morning meetings.
