Thank you for your continued support of Inawashiro Ski Resort.
We would like to share an announcement from Inawashiro Ski Resort's management company, DMC aizu.
DMC aizu Co. Ltd. (head office: Inawashiro-cho, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture; President: Shoji Endo) has announced it will participate in the construction of a power plant in collaboration with Green Power Engineering Co. Ltd. (head office: Maru-no-Uchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo-to). DMC aizu will act as a principal investor for the project to construct a plant in the surrounding region.
Through this power generation project we strive to diversify our revenue sources and to contribute to the United Nation's SDGs*(1) by supplementing the electricity consumed by our ski resorts and other facilities on a large scale with power developed by our own company.
Our plan is to generate 4,000 kW within three years, and approximately 10,000 kW within five years, in Fukushima and Yamagata through hydroelectric power generation methods. We
At DMCaizu, we are proud to be taking the first step in proactively helping the world to achieve the SDGs.
*(1) The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a sucessor to the 2001 Millennium Development Goals and were proposed in the 2015 UN Summit, "The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development". These international goals aim for a sustainable and better world by 2030. The SDGs are made up of 17 goals and 169 targets, all of which embody the same promise of "leave no one behind".
